❀Weekly Reflection 1&2❀
Sept 6-Sept 12 and Sept 13-Sept 19 Weeks❀
These two weeks were really enjoyable and were productive in terms of IB and learning about the classes. The first two weeks were mainly about the introduction and choosing the classes we’re taking. I wasn’t sure about my Group 3 class, but now I think I’ll enjoy Economics. I’m interested in the topics we’re learning about, I’m thinking about taking it as a High-Level class if I don’t take English B HL.
Having empty classes and being able to have some personal space during the weekdays motivated me a lot. I mostly spend my free time drawing and listening to music but being able to study without any distraction helped me, I was really productive in my opinion.
I really enjoyed the IB Open Day too! It was so fun and we were able to get to know with 12th graders, and we also tried new things.

Türkçe dersinde edebiyatın ne olduğu hakkında konuştuk, ayrıca kendi edebiyat tanımlarımız doğrultusunda sorular sorup sorguladık, gayet keyifliydi. Ayrıca kendi sunumumuzu yapıp etkileşim içinde tartışmak çok keyifliydi. Bu tartışmalar sonucunda edebiyatın tanımının kişinin etkileşimde olduğu edebi eserlere göre şekillenebileceğini öğrendim. Edebiyat o kadar farklı kitleleri bir araya getiriyor ki, bu kitleleri aynı tanım altında toplamak neredeyse imkansız.
English B
English class was so fun, we mainly talked about identity and components that affect a person’s identity. There were lots of different ideas about identity and I enjoyed being able to discuss them. In my opinion, I was quite active during the lessons, it’s because I enjoyed the class a lot!
Mathematics
Because it’s one of the few lessons that we take together as a class, the lessons were a bit chaotic, and I think we could go faster during the lessons. Eda Teacher wants everyone to get the topics but the students’ needs differ a lot, while the others are trying to understand the class, some of us, who are thinking about taking Math HL, were talking about other topics. It was a bit hard for the teacher too. Maybe if the class could be divided into two groups, Maths SL and HL, it’d be more productive.
Physics
I was worried about physics at the beginning of the year because I’m not really confident about physics as much as in other lessons, but I think it’s going pretty well. Kerem teacher is explaining all the topics with lots of examples. I feel comfortable during the lessons and he allows us to ask questions in Turkish as well, so I’m sure I will do well.
Economics
I wasn’t sure if I’d take Economics instead of Psychology or ESS but I enjoyed the topics we discuss, so I will take it. I’m thinking about Economics HL as I said.
Visual Arts
I love the class, it was awesome and I love the teacher as well! We had a class only the last week but it was so enjoyable and the topics and the areas that will be covered during the course is interesting as well. I think I’m going to take it as HL too.
Note: This is my first Weekly Reflection since I started IB Programme this year, I’ll try to document my development here. I hope I will get to see my improvement!❀
